**Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant**

**Introduction:**
\n We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. As a CMA, you will play a vital role in providing support to healthcare professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of medical facilities, and delivering high-quality patient care. We are looking for a dedicated individual with strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others.

**Responsibilities:**

\n

1. **Patient Care:**
\n - Assist healthcare providers in performing various medical procedures and examinations.
\n - Obtain and record patient vital signs, height, weight, and medical history accurately.
\n - Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
\n - Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare providers.
\n - Educate patients about their medical conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.

\n

2. **Administrative Duties:**
\n - Greet patients, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow within the medical facility.
\n - Maintain electronic health records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
\n - Handle patient inquiries, phone calls, and correspondence professionally and efficiently.
\n - Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare facilities as needed.
\n - Manage medical supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring availability and proper functioning.

\n

3. **Clinical Support:**
\n - Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care.
\n - Perform routine laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis.
\n - Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
\n - Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) and other diagnostic tests as required.
\n - Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment.

4. **Team Collaboration:**
\n - Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
\n - Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure continuity of care and adherence to treatment plans.
\n - Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives.

\n

**Requirements:**

\n

- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential from an accredited institution.
\n - High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assisting program preferred.
\n - Current CPR certification.
\n - Proficiency in medical terminology, basic pharmacology, and clinical procedures.
\n - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
\n - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\n - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
\n - Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs.
\n - Compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards of healthcare practice.
