We're on a mission to revolutionize home care and are looking for passionate individuals to help us make a lasting, positive impact.We're looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to own a hands-on mix of payroll, tax compliance, and client accounts receivable work. You'll process and reconcile payroll, prepare sales and payroll tax returns (multi-state a plus), review executive expenses, and drive client collections. This role suits an early-career accountant who is organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working across teams.This is a hybrid position based in our North Miami office, onsite Monday, Wednesday, and Friday each week.Core ResponsibilitiesPrepare and file sales tax and payroll tax returns accurately and on time, including registrations and filings across multiple statesRun end-to-end payroll cycles: process payroll, validate hours and earnings, and reconcile payroll registers to the general ledgerReconcile payroll-related accounts (wages, taxes, withholdings, and benefits) and resolve discrepancies promptlyReview executive expense reports for accuracy, policy compliance, and proper documentation, and route them for approvalOwn client collections: monitor accounts receivable aging, contact clients on past-due balances, negotiate payment timelines, and escalate as neededRespond to tax notices and coordinate with state and local agencies to resolve payroll and sales tax mattersReview expenses against policy for the company, contact stakeholders for out-of-policy transactions, and coach leaders on staff expense oversightSupport the creation and fidelity of departmental and team budgets, including but not limited to card limit appropriation/reductionIdentify and recommend improvements to payroll, tax, and collections processes as we scaleExperience and SkillsMulti-state sales and payroll tax filing experience2–3 years of hands-on experience in each of the following: sales and payroll tax returns, running and reconciling payroll, executive expense review and approval, and client collectionsStrong attention to detail and a track record of meeting hard filing and payroll deadlinesDiscretion with confidential payroll and executive financial informationProficiency with Excel and common accounting/payroll systemsExperience with payroll platforms (e.g., ADP, Rippling, etc.) and expense management toolsExposure to healthcare, home care, or other service-based industriesEducation and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or other related field preferred, or equivalent professional experienceWhat We OfferMedical, dental, and vision benefits401k retirement planAflac benefitsPaid time offProfessional development supportCompensation $65,000-$75,000 depending on experience
