As part of our efforts to provide high quality products and exceptional service, State Contracting is looking to bring on board an experienced Estimator. The Estimator will oversee project take offs and proposals for paving, utility, grading and concrete opportunities. The applicant should be familiar with reading blueprints and technical drawings and developing a cost budget. The ideal candidate should have experience working in construction estimating and take offs.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of estimating and proposals with an emphasis on paving, utility, site and construction services.
• Proficient in preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates.
• Managing follow up and coordinating jobs.
• Negotiate contract pricing terms with supplies.
Knowledge and Experience
• Technical knowledge and ability to interpret blueprint and technical drawings.
• Software proficiency regarding blueprints.
• Ability to prepare accurate estimates on various projects.
Core Competencies
• Familiarity with estimating software and related programs.
• Experience with construction estimating, reading blueprints and pricing.
• Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills
