Assistant Controller

Oversee the day-to-day activities of the GL team of 3, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules. Manage intercompany transactions, consolidations, and eliminations. Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with a focus on quality and efficiency. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3 GL accountants. Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Assist in the preparation of management reporting packages and variance analysis. Support external audit preparation and internal control compliance. Identify and implement process improvements in accounting workflows and systems. Strategic Support Partner with the Corporate Controller and cross-functional teams on special projects, including ERP enhancements and cost accounting initiatives. Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to support business decisions. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Strong technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP) and experience with month-end close and GL operations. Prior experience in a services, project-based, or event industry is a plus. Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. Experience in a fast-paced or PE-backed environment preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
