About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead a comprehensive financial transformation. This is a pivotal role, not for the faint of heart, as it involves a complete rebuild of the finance, operations, and reporting functions. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of this mission, with the full support of the CEO and Board, and will be responsible for stabilizing and modernizing the finance function in a complex, multi-source environment. Key responsibilities include leading the full financial transformation, stabilizing and rebuilding billing operations, overseeing grants, contracts, and funding compliance, and optimizing ERP systems. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in nonprofit finance, experience with ERP systems, and a background in restructuring and turnaround environments. The ideal CFO for this role at the company will have a strong background in nonprofit finance leadership, particularly with exposure to grants, contracts, and government funding. Experience with ERP systems, such as NetSuite, and a familiarity with healthcare billing cycles, including Medicare and Medicaid, are essential. The first 12 months will be focused on operational stabilization, billing and revenue cycle rebuild, team buildout and leadership, and systems and process improvement. The CFO will be expected to reduce the month-end close cycle, address backlogs, and improve the accuracy and visibility of financial data. They will also be tasked with rebuilding internal billing processes, team structure, and optimizing the use of ERP systems for budgeting, reporting, and transparency. This is a hands-on role that requires a leader who can prioritize effectively and is committed to leaving a lasting operational legacy.
