Job Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Fiscal Analyst to join their team in Trenton, NJ. This is a 12-month contract role supporting financial and accounting operations across multiple platforms, including state and federal grant management systems.
Key Responsibilities

• Establish purchase orders (POs) and process vendor invoices through various financial systems
• Issue daily reports required by the team to support operational responsibilities such as draw downs
• Provide accounting and financial transaction support across multiple systems including the state ledger system, a grant management system, and the HUD federal system
• Interface with internal and external stakeholders including DCA Fiscal teams and external vendors

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or coursework with a concentration in Finance
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Prior work experience in a financial or accounting role
• Strong work ethic and conscientious attention to detail

Preferred Skills

• Experience with government or grant-funded financial systems
• Familiarity with A/P processes and vendor management
• Exposure to HUD or similar federal financial platforms

Engagement Details

12-month contract engagement. Standard business hours: 9 AM - 5 PM with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
