Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipeline orchestration, data ingestion, Databricks, Snowflake, and healthcare data environments .
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise data pipelines, supporting data warehouse solutions, and working with healthcare data standards including HL7 and FHIR .
Important: Candidates must have hands-on experience using ADF Pipelines for orchestration and ingestion of data . Experience with Snowflake and Healthcare Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW) is highly critical for this role.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering with strong focus on enterprise data warehousing.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks .
- 5+ years of experience developing ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter, SSIS, ADF, or similar tools .
- 5+ years of experience working with relational databases including:
- Oracle
- Snowflake
- SQL Server
- 5+ years of experience developing stored procedures using:
- Oracle PL/SQL
- SQL Server T-SQL
- Snowflake SQL
- 3+ years of experience with Python scripting .
- 3+ years of experience with source control tools such as:
- Azure DevOps
- GitHub
- SVN
- 2+ years of experience processing structured and unstructured data.
- Experience working with healthcare data standards including HL7 and FHIR .
- 3+ years of experience gathering requirements and developing detailed ETL specifications.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and evolving business requirements.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in related fields such as:
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Mathematics/Statistics
- Analytics
- Business
Oher Skills
- Experience with batch scripting or PowerShell scripting.
- 3+ years of data modeling experience in a data warehouse environment.
- Experience with Spark and Azure Data Fabric .
- Experience designing and building APIs using Snowflake and Azure Data Factory (REST, RPC).
- Experience supporting Medicaid, Medicare, or healthcare applications .
- Azure certifications related to Data Engineering or Data Analytics.
