Database Administrator

Posting Description DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR, Information Systems and Technology (IS&T), designs, installs, maintains and upgrades the Institute’s databases; works on one or more projects by supporting one or more databases of low to medium complexity with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity, and accessibility of the data; and expected to work with some oversight, plan and organize database activities regarding reliability, performance monitoring and tuning, security, backup, and disaster recovery.The full job description is available here. Job Requirements REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) and a minimum of three years of experience in computer science, information systems, mathematics, or another related field; working knowledge of scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash,etc.); broad level of understanding surrounding information systems and application and/or Web standards; knowledge of web applications and the role databases play in a web application stack; experience with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL/Mariadb, and/or PostgreSQL; ability to multi-task effectively; ability to adjust to changing priorities; ability to breakdown raw information and identify relationships between components; basic oral and written communication skills that support transactional activities; and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with other members of formal and informal groups in the pursuit of common missions, vision, values and mutual goals.This is a full-time remote position. 9/8/2026 Job Number: 25990 Functional Area: Information Technology Department: Information Systems & Technology School Area: VP for Info Systems & Technology Pay Range Minimum: $115,000 Pay Range Maximum: $130,000 Employment Type: Full-time (Remote Only) Employment Category: Exempt Visa Sponsorship Available: No Schedule: Pay Grade: 9
