Technical Support Specialist

Our client is seeking a VFD Technical Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support for variable frequency drives (VFDs), PLCs, and industrial motor control applications. This is a hands-on, onsite position supporting customers and internal teams with equipment troubleshooting, technical questions, product applications, and repairs. The ideal candidate has a strong electrical or controls background with practical experience working with VFDs, PLCs, and industrial automation equipment. PLC programming experience is a plus but not required. 1-5 years exp. BSEET/BSEE preferred Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support to customers and internal teams via phone, email, and in person. Troubleshoot VFDs, PLCs, motor controls, and electrical systems. Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions. Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel drawings. Support VFD setup, configuration, testing, and repairs. Manage service requests, warranty evaluations, and RMAs. Coordinate with engineering, sales, and service teams to resolve technical issues. Document troubleshooting activities and provide customer guidance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred. Hands-on VFD, PLC, and industrial motor control experience required. Strong electrical troubleshooting and schematic interpretation skills. Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and electrical test equipment. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols preferred. PLC programming experience a plus, but not required.
