Continuing Education Specialist 3

Overview Continuing Education Specialist 3 position within the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences based at Harborview Medical Center. This full‑time role provides training, consultation, and fidelity reviews in Psychiatric Rehabilitation and related skills for providers in Washington State’s Programs of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) teams. The role plays a lead trainer in PACT and collaborates with the SPIRIT Lab and Northwest Mental Health Technology Transfer Center to deliver evidence‑based practice guidance and training. Responsibilities Further develop and refine Psychiatric Rehabilitation training curriculum, slides, and supporting resources (30%). Lead PACT fidelity reviews, co‑review with other teams, write comprehensive fidelity reports and provide feedback (20%). Facilitate or co‑facilitate professional consultation to PACT teams through the PACT Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO) Clinic, and consult agency administrators to facilitate adoption of PACT and other evidence‑based practices (20%). Provide didactic mini‑training within PACT ECHO Clinics and other webinars to teams in psychiatric rehabilitation strategies (10%). Anticipate PACT teams’ training needs and coordinate with other trainers on ongoing training and support statewide (5%). Respond to or triage training inquiries; assess feasibility, timeline, and implementation strategy for training efforts (5%). Assist administrative staff with developing and finalizing collaborating external trainers’ statements of work and contracts (5%). Work with colleagues to formulate and implement strategies to engage diverse groups of evidence‑based practice implementation stakeholders (5%). Minimum Requirements A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or related field, and a minimum of two years of experience working within a PACT or ACT team, or another community behavioral healthcare program for people with serious mental illness (SMI). Equivalent education/experience may substitute except where there are legal requirements. Additional Requirement Must be able to travel within Washington State at least quarterly, including overnight travel for multiday workshops. Desired Qualifications Expertise in psychiatric rehabilitation or other skills training with people with serious mental illness, including experience in Occupational Therapy. Experience with training or consulting to other behavioral healthcare clinicians. Experience in recovery‑oriented care and shared decision making. Bilingual applicants and/or those with strong training in culturally‑informed and trauma‑informed care preferred. Compensation, Benefits and Position Details Pay Range Minimum: $71,952.00 annual.
