Job Summary Our fast-growing production company is seeking an Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Accountant (AP & AR Acct). The role involves completing a wide variety of responsibilities and working as part of a dynamic team. Prior experience in Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable is preferred. Responsibilities and Duties Oversee day to day A/R and A/P transactions, including but not limited to verifying, matching, and entering invoices into the ERP system. Ensure that revenue is recovered by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments with the Accounting Manager. Assists A/P clerk to pay invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment. Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments. Attempt to collect overdue accounts via email reminders and phone calls in conjunction with Accounting Manager. Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions. Maintains general accounting ledgers by posting account transactions through the accounting software. Perform other duties as needed by the CFO/Controller. Qualifications and Skills University Degree/College Diploma in business or related field Manufacturing experience preferred Capable of performing accurate data entry with keen attention to detail Strong attention to details and accuracy is non-negotiable Experience in ERP systems considered an asset, MS Dynamics preferred Professional communication and demeanor Ability to work within a team environment Strong organization skills and time management skills is necessary Strong problem-solving abilities Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Experience/Requirements: 3 years of Accounts Receivable/Payable College degree in business or related field ; experience may be substituted Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Prolonged periods of standing and walking may be required. Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds. Bending, stopping, carrying up to 20 pounds may be required.
