We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to support a diverse portfolio of operations in Columbia, South Carolina. Responsibilities :

• Manage general ledger activity across multiple affiliated business entities, ensuring financial records remain accurate and up to date.

• Prepare journal entries and support the monthly close process by reviewing balances, resolving discrepancies, and meeting reporting deadlines.

• Complete bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash transactions to maintain reliable visibility into cash flow.

• Assists with accounts payable tasks, including processing invoices and helping maintain timely vendor payments.

• Reconcile accounts on a regular basis and investigate variances to support clean and dependable financial reporting.

• Experience supporting month-end close activities in an accounting environment.
• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.
• Ability to perform account reconciliations with strong attention to detail.
• Experience completing bank reconciliations and reviewing cash activity.
• Familiarity with accounts payable processes and basic invoice handling.
• Capacity to manage accounting responsibilities across multiple entities or lines of business.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance recurring deadlines with day-to-day accounting tasks.
