Our client in Iowa is seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 47-day assignment starting Aug 10, 2026. This role involves a Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM schedule with weeknight call, focusing on pre-operative evaluations, assisting in open-heart and thoracic surgeries, managing post-operative care, and handling outpatient follow-ups. Responsibilities and Duties Perform pre-operative evaluations. Act as first assist in open-heart and thoracic surgeries, including endoscopic vein harvesting, cannulation, and chest closure. Manage post-operative care in the ICU and telemetry floors. Conduct outpatient follow-ups. Perform chest tube insertion and removal. Additional Information Required Board Certifications: Cardiothoracic Surgery. This is a trauma facility.
