Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical care for SICU trauma and surgical patients, including monitoring and ongoing assessment
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; adjust plans as clinically indicated
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams; participate in rounds, care planning, and discharge planning
- Document nursing care in the electronic medical record (Epic); manage medication dispensing through Pyxis; coordinate communication via Vocera and Outlook
- Respond to physiologic changes and emergencies; support patients with invasive monitoring and ventilator management as required by unit protocols

Requirements
- Current Ohio Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Preferred: one year of Trauma or Surgical ICU experience
- Physical environment requires the ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk throughout the day; ability to lift, push, and pull up to 250 lbs with assistance
- Ability to work in a high‑acuity SICU setting and participate in a rotating schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
