Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years required; will consider 1 year if from a Level 1 trauma facility License: Pending license accepted Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: Experience in circulating cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases. Scrub skillset not required for day shift, but is highly preferred. Description: Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the CVOR specialty. Candidates must have experience in circulating cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries. A scrub skillset is preferred but not required for the day shift. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience; however, candidates with 1 year from a Level 1 trauma facility may be considered. First-timers are accepted only if they have more than 2 years of experience in a Level 1 trauma facility. Availability for weekend shifts is required per call policy. Call requirements may fluctuate, with up to 3-4 weekdays and 1-2 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule based on unit needs. Staff may be expected to float within their scope to meet facility needs. Candidates should have a BSN preferred and the ability to handle cardiac and thoracic cases primarily, as well as vascular and transplant procedures. Experience with emergent cases is necessary. All staff will be responsible for entering missing instruments into the appropriate tracking system. Call times should allow for prompt preparation for emergent cases, expecting to be ready within 40 minutes from call to clock-in. Additional familiarization with heart and lung transplant procedures is needed for night shift roles.
