Creative + Account Internship

Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid / On-Site attendancerequired) Hours: 15-20 hours a week. Monday & Thursday at our Fulton Hill office. Duration: 3-month internship, with potential to extend. Description: We’re looking for a multidisciplinary intern interested in working with both our creative and account teams. Your priority will be assisting the creative team, where you’ll work on everything from print materials and digital ads to short-form video. In your downtime, you’ll help with account coordination, supporting the execution of grand openings and experiential activations. This role is ideal for someone entering their senior year of college or recently graduated looking to gain experience in an agency setting. You’ll be a key part of our organization, collaborating cross-functionally with our creative, digital marketing, and account teams to efficiently keep projects moving. You’ll thrive in this position if you’re adaptable — switching between different types of work with ease— detail-oriented, and able to operate independently with confidence. Position Responsibilities Design bold, strategic creative across digital, social, web, print, and broadcast Create print materials, digital ads, landing pages, email graphics, decks, and mockups that are clear, persuasive, and visually dialed in Translate messaging and strategy into compelling visual storytelling Prepare and export final files – learning & understanding specs, placements, and technical requirements Conduct client research, building a deep understanding of local community engagement opportunities Source materials for client activations Coordinate vendor booking and communication Balance multiple active tasks at once while managing priorities and workloads effectively to meet all schedules and deadlines Essential Skills & Experience Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Graphic Design, Creative Marketing, Digital Advertising, Visual Communication, or other related degrees Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign Proficiency, working knowledge, or interest in animation, motion design, & video editing software such as: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Animate, Davinci Resolve, and Google Web Designer Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel Eager to learn and develop new skills Organized individual with solid writing and documentation habits Confident communicator via phone, comfortable making calls and thinking on your fee Portfolio Requirement: A minimum of 3 work samples demonstrating a breadth of different design disciplines About The Zest Lab: The Zest Lab is a full-service marketing agency, specializing in experiential events for franchise brands.
