Actuarial Analyst II - Life Chief Actuary

Actuarial Analyst II - Life Chief Actuary

As an Actuarial Analyst II on the Life Financial Projections team in the Life Chief Actuary department, you will play a significant role in helping shape the future of modeling the company's life insurance products for a variety of purposes.

What you'll be doing:

Provide support producing cash flow model projections used for asset adequacy testing, asset liability management, duration targets, other ad hoc internal needs
Perform data analysis and calculations for consistency and reasonableness to support broader actuarial deliverables
Ensure model accuracy by performing static and dynamic validations
Support preparation of regulatory reports, such as the actuarial opinion and memorandum
Develop familiarity with Lincoln's portfolio of life insurance products and reinsurance arrangements
Introduce and encourage innovation, improvements, and efficiencies in current processes where possible
Maintain and enhance model control and documentation processes
Collaborate with team members and peers across department functions to assist with problem solving and sharing ideas
Potential to manage a summer intern by providing guidance on projects and fostering professional development

What we're looking for:

Must have:

Minimum of 4 actuarial exams passed
1 to 4+ years of actuarial experience
1 prior actuarial rotation
General life insurance product knowledge
Understanding of income statements, balance sheets, and financial projections
Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and meet firm deadlines
Strong technical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:

Experience with actuarial modeling software, particularly MG-ALFA/Integrate
Experience working with business intelligence tools (e.g., Dataiku, Tableau)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with artificial intelligence tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude)
History of innovation and process improvement
