Associate, Outsourced CIO TeamCommonfund seeks to hire an Associate to assume investment- and client-related requests from clients and senior members of the Outsourced Chief Investment Office (OCIO) team. The Outsourced Chief Investment Office (OCIO) team provides total portfolio management for endowment and foundation clients. It is a highly visible position and critical to the success of the organization and its growth. The Associate will assist with managing client portfolios in areas such as asset allocation modeling, portfolio construction, portfolio rebalancing, reporting, and risk management. The successful candidate will also be expected to work cross-functionally with other teams within the organization to provide high-quality, timely, and complete responses for our clientsPrimary responsibilities include:Provide strong quantitative and analytical skills to support the Outsourced Chief Investment Officers (OCIOs)Undertake portfolio evaluation and analysis of client accountsAid in designing and refining prompt workflows and AI-assisted research processes to improve speed and quality of client deliverablesAssist with client interface – respond to inquiries and analytic requests from clients in a timely and accurate mannerResponsible for month-end portfolio review, rebalancing client portfolios, and cash flow analysisAssist in generating asset allocation recommendations for current and prospective institutions by using portfolio modeling applicationsCreate, maintain, and update presentation materialsEvaluate and pilot new AI tools relevant to investment research, client communication, and operational efficiencySupport with ad-hoc project requests from clients and senior staffAssist with development of charts, materials, and written communications in collaboration with our Marketing and Investment groupsCollaborate with technology and data teams to build scalable AI solutions that enhance the OCIO advisory experienceDevelop an in-depth knowledge of Commonfund's investment strategies and programsPreferred background includes:Four-year college degree2-4 years of experience in the investment or asset management industryStrong analytical/problem solving skills, including use of spreadsheet/database software for quantitative analysisA strong proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and PowerPointDemonstrated ability to complete assignments independently and on a timely basisProficiency with enterprise large language models and building practical workflows through the use of APIsAbility to work as part of a team to accomplish broader goals and objectivesStrong verbal, written communication, and presentation skillsAbility to handle multiple responsibilitiesWillingness to work after hours, when necessary, to accomplish work assignmentsPrior knowledge of capital markets and asset management landscape is preferred
