About the Role
The Company is seeking a Section Chief of Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation to lead the strategic growth of clinical, research, and educational programs in the treatment of blood cancers, bone marrow failure syndromes, and genetic blood disorders. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing Hematology/Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy operations, driving clinical trials, and advancing cellular therapy and laboratory research. This full-time role requires a visionary physician leader with a strong background in academic oncology, including experience in clinical program oversight, faculty recruitment, development, and retention, and a proven track record of leadership within a complex academic health system. The Chief will be instrumental in unifying multidisciplinary teams, expanding statewide services, and enhancing the national reputation and extramural funding of the division. Applicants for the Section Chief position must have an MD, DO, or MBBS degree, be board-certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology, and have the academic credentials to support an appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. The role demands a leader with a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered, evidence-based care, and academic excellence, as well as the ability to articulate and implement a strategic vision that integrates clinical care, research, and education. The ideal candidate will have a collaborative, engaging, transparent, and visionary leadership style, and will be expected to work closely with senior institutional leadership to ensure the operational and financial stewardship of the division.
