Senior Associate, Strategic Finance

About the position: Stellar’s Strategic Finance team plays an integral role in delivering financial insights and decision-making support across the organization. As the Strategic Finance Associate, you will be responsible for developing complex strategic and financial analyses, delivering financial reporting to senior management, and partnering with key cross‑functional teams to provide actionable insights. Reporting to the Director, Strategic Finance, this is a high‑visibility role with the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization’s key priorities. How you'll make an impact: Build and maintain complex financial and analytical models, including monthly forecasts and long‑term financial planning Partner with key cross‑functional teams (Growth, Operations) to analyze the business and identify areas of opportunity that align with the company’s strategic goals Analyze operating results and KPIs to surface actionable insights Perform ad‑hoc analysis to inform strategic decisions and conduct deep dives on key focus areas to develop shared understanding of business levers Support the annual budgeting & forecasting process, as well as ongoing reporting and variance analysis Support the development and preparation of monthly & quarterly reporting for senior management, as well as the creation of quarterly board materials Lead initiatives on automation & process improvement for financial reporting What you'll bring: 3–5 years experience in management consulting or investment banking, or FP&A at a high‑growth startup Proven mastery of Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools (Tableau, Looker) a plus Experience building 3‑statement financial models and providing financial analysis for monthly forecasts, strategic multi‑year forecasts, and annual budgets Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with experience developing and delivering presentations Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills High attention to detail Self‑motivation with proven ability to work independently and autonomously with multiple functional areas Perks & Benefits: Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits Flexible PTO Universal Paid Family and Caregiver Leave Wellhub+ Gym Memberships Pre‑tax commuter benefits, HA, FSA plans Company sponsored One Medical memberships and Citibike memberships Medical Travel Benefits JOON, a flexible lifestyle spending account that gives our team a monthly stipend to spend on what matters most to them Stock Options & a 401k matching program A broad calendar of company sponsored social events for our in‑office and remote employees Company sponsored lunch for all NY HQ employees Diversity and Equal Employment Opportunity Diversity is the key to our success.
