Position Overview Black Bear is seeking a Coordinator, Digital to support the day-to-day execution of social and digital marketing across our film campaigns and corporate channels. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who lives and breathes film, social media, internet culture, and the creator landscape. The Coordinator will be responsible for social publishing and scheduling, community management, creator and influencer outreach, and supporting the development and execution of digital and social strategy across Black Bear’s slate. The ideal candidate is culturally curious, highly organized, creatively minded, and excited to engage directly with audiences and creators. They should understand how different communities behave across platforms and have strong instincts for how films can authentically enter those conversations. Key Responsibilities Social Publishing & Platform Management Manage day-to-day publishing across Black Bear and film-specific social channels, including scheduling, copy, asset trafficking, and quality control. Maintain social calendars and ensure content is timely, platform-appropriate, and aligned with each film’s campaign. Identify opportunities around cultural moments, trends, memes, and emerging conversations. Community Management Oversee community management across Black Bear and film-specific channels, including comments, mentions, DMs, and fan activity. Engage audiences in a voice tailored to each film and surface standout fan content, reactions, and emerging conversations. Flag notable sentiment, issues, and opportunities to the broader marketing team. Creator & Influencer Marketing Support creator and influencer strategy, research, outreach, and relationship management across campaigns. Coordinate creator participation in screenings, events, content, gifting, and other activations. Identify emerging creators, tastemakers, and communities relevant to individual films. Contribute to social and digital campaign strategy, bringing forward platform-specific ideas, trends, creators, and new opportunities. Monitor competitive campaigns, fandoms, platform developments, and online culture to inform strategy. Track social and creator performance, identifying key learnings and audience behaviors that can inform campaigns. Collaborate closely with Creative, Marketing, Publicity, Media, agencies, creators, and partners from announcement through release. Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, creator/influencer marketing, entertainment, or a related field. Strong knowledge of major social platforms, community management, and creator/influencer marketing. Excellent writing skills with a strong instinct for social voice, tone, humor, and platform-specific content. Deep familiarity with internet culture, entertainment, fandoms, memes, creators, and emerging trends. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple campaigns and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with social publishing, analytics, listening, and basic creative tools is a plus. Working familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Premiere Pro , with the ability to make basic edits, crops, resizes, and social-first adaptations as needed. A genuine passion for film, culture, and connecting movies with audiences. Reports to: Head of Marketing The salary range for this role is $70-80K The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
