Registered Nurse ICU

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses for winter contract opportunities. These roles require critical care expertise and flexibility to support patient needs in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to ICU patients, including those with open heart surgery and post-operative needs.
• Monitor and interpret EKG strips, IV lines, and ventilator settings, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
• Administer treatments such as CRRT, prone positioning, hypothermia post-cardiac arrest management, and sedation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float to other units as needed within the hospital, supporting high-acuity and COVID-positive patients.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including flexible scheduling, holiday shifts, and protocol compliance.

Qualifications:

• Hold an Associate’s Degree in Nursing or BSN.
• Valid Ohio Registered Nurse License or equivalent compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience in a hospital setting.
• Must pass online EKG tele competency assessment prior to start.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA.
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting strips, vent settings, and complex clinical procedures.
