Accounts Payable Contractor

A Kforce client located in Worcester County, MA is looking to bring on an Accounts Payable Contractor for a Contract- to-Hire role.Summary:The AP Specialist will support high-volume AP operations within a collaborative finance team. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and strong vendor relationships.Key Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume invoices, including three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices
• Research and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, payments, and purchase orders
• Partner with internal teams (Procurement, Receiving, Finance) to resolve order and invoice issues
• Ensure all invoices are properly matched, approved, and processed in a timely manner
• Maintain documentation and approvals in compliance with internal controls and company policies
• Reconcile vendor statements and proactively resolve outstanding items
• Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding payment status and inquiries
• Process weekly payment runs including checks, ACH, and wire transfers
• Assist with stop payments, corrections, and purchase order updates as needed
• Utilize Excel to track, analyze, and report on AP activity
• Generate standard and ad hoc reports to support finance operations

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience, ideally in a high-volume environment
• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Experience with invoice reconciliation, vendor management, and discrepancy resolution
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• SAP Concur experience is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
