What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including cardiac and neurological status
• Administer medications, including titratable IV meds like Cardene, Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin, Neo, Levophed (manager approval required for some)
• Manage chest tubes, tracheostomies, lumbar drains, and perform peripheral dialysis support as needed
• Support clinical documentation and charting in Meditech Expanse EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hospitalists, RT, OT, PT, and ST
• Respond to emergencies and perform EKG assessments (must pass competency exam prior to start)
• Adhere to hospital policies on safety, infection control, and patient privacy

What You Need

• Active RN license in Louisiana
• BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience in a similar setting
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a 5/2 schedule, including every other weekend and holidays
• Strong clinical assessment skills, ability to handle titratable medications, and support patients with complex medical conditions
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
