What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care to adult patients in the PCU, managing conditions such as AFIB/RVR, DKA, HTN, COPD, ARF, post-heart caths, stroke (CVA/TIA), and spinal surgeries
• Monitor and titrate infusions including Cardene, Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin, Neo, and Levophed (request manager approval if lacking experience)
• Support patient assessment, medication administration, and documentation using the Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including RT, hospitalists, OT, PT, and SLP
• Manage complex equipment such as IV pumps (Alaris), Pyxis medication dispensing, and support charting with EMR
• Prepare for and pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
• Participate in orientation and continuous education activities
• Work scheduled weekends on a rotating basis and adhere to a 5/2 or 5/5 schedule as assigned
• Follow uniform and badge policies: Pewter scrubs, gray/white/black T-shirts, gray/black jackets, badges visible at all times
• Support holiday coverage commitments, including working approximately 2 out of 3 holidays

What You Need

• Valid RN license in State
• 2+ years of RN experience in an acute care setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Ability to support titratable medication management and other advanced procedures (preferred)
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work night shift consistently and pass EKG competency exam
