Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in planning and delivering safe, high-quality patient care
• Anticipate patient care needs and maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care on the PCU/Telemetry unit

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas
• Minimum of 2 years of Telemetry or PCU nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Must not be a local candidate — travel candidates only

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a fast-paced PCU or step-down telemetry environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills with demonstrated ability to supervise and direct clinical staff
