• Patient Ratios : PICU 1Rn to 1-2 pts Stepdown: 1RN to 2-3 pts.
• Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : HUC works 9-9. Tech is shared with PICU.
• Type of equipment : Alaris pumps
• Documentation system: Cerner
• Scheduling requirements: In a 6 week schedule must work 3 weekends
• Floating policy: Will float to Peds and NICU
• Patient Experience requirements: 1 year PICU experience

Must have : PALs

Advanced skills needed: n/a

Procedures performed on unit: : IV starts, Caths, holding for LP's, central line dressing changes, hemodynamic monitoring, trach care, tube feeding and placement, ICP monitoring, ventilator management.
