Your responsibilities
Job Summary

Provides assistance to the department head in administrative areas. Assists in the completion
of the department's daily operations by performing assigned tasks, various office functions,
and duties in an accurate and timely manner as they pertain to the running of the department
in a smooth and organized fashion. This is a responsible position that may involve
supervision. Works with minimal instruction or supervision.Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

• Responds to telephone calls and emails, resolving benefit inquiries
• Completes various administrative tasks within the Benefits Administrative system including the review of qualifying life events and coverage changes
• Reviews and processes court orders requiring changes to benefit coverage
• Reconciles monthly invoices from related vendors and facilitates approval for payment
• Learns organizational processes and procedures
• Contributes to assigned projects and may assist with the development and maintenance of documentation or records
• Works in team environment, communicating as required with all personnel
• Assembles information in a timely and efficient manner
• Collaborates with staff and departments in preparing special projects

Qualifications:

• Ability to accurately type a minimum of 50 wpm.
• Good working knowledge of English, grammar, punctuation, spelling, style, etc.
• Ability to operate standard office machines
• Knowledge of efficient office procedures
• Ability to answer telephones and greet the public in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Two (2) years of clerical work experience
