Experimental College – Visiting Lecturers Spring 2027 The Experimental College at Tufts University seeks Visiting Lecturers from a range of backgrounds and professions for the Spring 2027 semester. The goal is to bring new topics and perspectives to Tufts. Selected instructors will design and teach small, discussion-based courses that promote active learning and engage undergraduates in exploring ideas and experiences shaping the world today. We are looking for out‑of‑the‑ordinary courses that also have broad appeal. Courses will be three‑credit, letter‑graded electives. They meet in the evening once a week for a total of 2.5 contact hours per week, over thirteen teaching weeks. Classes are taught in a classroom setting at the Tufts Medford/Somerville campus. The semester begins on January 20, 2027 and ends on May 3, 2027. Selected applicants may be asked to adjust their proposed syllabi to meet ExCollege and university guidelines. Stipend: $5,600.00 per course, whether taught individually or team‑taught. Qualifications Anyone who has special expertise to offer Tufts undergraduates and can share that expertise effectively may apply.
