Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a travel assignment in Plattsburgh, NY. This role requires an adept nurse who thrives in an acute inpatient environment, providing critical care to adult patients.

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - PCU

• Administer care to patients with acute coronary syndrome and other cardiac conditions
• Monitor and manage BiPAP/CPAP and insulin drips
• Perform post-cardiac catheterization care and EKGs
• Provide advanced monitoring and frequent observation for drug toxicity and ETOH withdrawal
• Implement thrombolytic therapy and manage hemodynamic instability
• Support patients through major vascular surgery and post-operative care
• Participate in the Resource Float team, adapting to unit needs

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - PCU

• Valid AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications; NIHSS prior to start
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a telemetry unit
• Experience with EPIC within the past 2 years
• Prior experience with cardiac and insulin drips, starting IVs, and post-cardiac catheterization
