Material Handler

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be part of the Shipping / Receiving Department supporting operational efficiency and inventory management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Hamilton, OH

Pay Range: $19/hr

Shift: First shift hours: 6am-2pm (Monday-Thursday, overtime possible on Friday)

What's the Job?

• Locate and verify materials and supplies based on production orders

• Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies

• Operate material-handling equipment, including overhead cranes and dock locks

• Ensure proper flow of materials by weighing, counting, and inspecting containers

• Follow safety regulations, dispose of scrap, and maintain good housekeeping practices

What's Needed?

• Must have forklift experience and be able to obtain forklift operator certification

• High school diploma or GED preferred; basic reading, writing, and math skills required

• Ability to operate hand-held scanners and understand standard operating procedures

• Ability to read tape measures and understand part number systems

• Computer knowledge and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
