Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Educational Facility Patrol Navigator in Bronx, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established school protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, entrances, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy concerns to appropriate school personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain professional communication with school administrators, staff, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
