Role Description The Mortgage Loan Processor is a full‑time role based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home. In this position, the processor reviews and verifies borrower documentation, including income, assets, credit, and property information, to ensure loan files are complete and accurate. The role involves preparing and organizing loan files for underwriting, coordinating with loan officers, underwriters, and other stakeholders, and following up with borrowers for any missing information. The Mortgage Loan Processor also ensures compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, updates loan status in systems, and helps move files efficiently from application to closing. Day‑to‑day tasks require attention to detail, timely communication, and a commitment to delivering a smooth customer experience. Qualifications Strong knowledge of the mortgage industry, including current regulations and best practices. Experience in mortgage lending and working directly with borrowers and loan officers. Hands‑on experience with loan processing, including document collection and file review. Understanding of underwriting principles and familiarity with loan approval criteria. Ability to manage multiple loans simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency with mortgage loan origination systems and standard office software. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities. Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, in English; Spanish proficiency is highly beneficial. Customer‑focused mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when needed.
