Secretary Position
A custom precision machine shop in Athens County is seeking a skilled secretary to join their team. This permanent, full-time position plays a key role in supporting daily office operations, including bookkeeping, customer invoicing, shipping coordination, and administrative support. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, possess strong organizational skills, and have experience with QuickBooks Online.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Create and distribute customer invoices
- Schedule and coordinate freight shipments
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Assist with general office and administrative tasks as needed
- Update equipment listings and information on the company website
- Perform basic video editing and upload equipment videos
- Maintain accurate records and support efficient office operations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent customer service and timely completion of tasks
This is a direct-hire, full-time position hiring immediately. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour but is commensurate with experience. A full benefits package is available.
Qualifications
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Previous administrative, bookkeeping, or office support experience preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience coordinating shipping and freight logistics is a plus
- Website editing or content management experience is highly desirable
- Experience using Mac computers is preferred
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently while supporting a team environment
