In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining press brake machines to bend and shape metal components according to precise specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine appropriate machine settings and material requirements. Collaborate with team members, including engineers and production supervisors, to optimize production processes and meet deadlines. Quality Assurance Maintain accurate production records, including material usage, machine settings, and output. Perform quality checks on completed workpieces, measuring dimensions and angles to ensure they meet specifications. Maintenance Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting mechanical issues. Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or issues and make adjustments as necessary. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and adjust machinery. Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and protractors. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment. Preferred Technical certification or training in machine operation, metal fabrication, or a related field. Experience with CNC press brake machines is a plus. Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in an industrial setting. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
