Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Travel) | Petoskey, MI | Start 06/15/2026 | 13 weeks | $2,315–$2,422 per week | Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12) | Inpatient medical-surgical unit (travel temporary assignment)

- Attendance policy: Strict 3-strike attendance policy; absence or lateness of more than 20 minutes on three occasions may lead to termination, with exceptions for documented illness or hospitalization

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients per the written plan of care and the Clinical Practice Model
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, communicate via SBAR, and contribute to ongoing care planning and evaluation
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, respond to changes, and document accurately in the medical record
- Implement clinical pathways and provide patient and family education; participate in discharge planning and safety initiatives
- Maintain a patient-centered focus while upholding quality and safety outcomes; support orientation for new team members
- Demonstrate professional leadership, serve as a clinical resource, and uphold evidence-based practice in daily care

Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license with verification required (LARA and Nursys); provide license verification documentation
- BLS (AHA) Certification
- 2+ years of straight Medical-Surgical RN experience; not floated to SDU/Tele
- Trauma level experience (Level II or I) is required
- Skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties
- Ability to work in an inpatient Med Surg setting and participate in a 12-hour night shift schedule
