What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Manage patients across all acuity levels including MedSurg, Stepdown, and ICU within the ER
• Perform ventilator management, critical care drips/titration, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and code responses
• Administer medications, assist with procedures such as splinting, and operate medical equipment like chest tubes and hemodynamic lines
• Support the hospital's trauma and acute care protocols, including stroke assessments and TPA administration
• Maintain patient safety and comfort while adhering to hospital standards and protocols
• Collaborate with ED physicians, hospitalists, and other multidisciplinary team members

What You Need

• Active RN license in Louisiana
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience; trauma experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI or MOAB certifications
• Proficiency in ventilator management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and critical care procedures
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
• Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills
