Select and install various types of fasteners/liliHandle, dispense and apply various types of lubricants/liliUnderstand types, properties, storage, handling and application of basic lubricants, and the use of typical lubricant charts/liliUnderstand basic machine shop skills and machine safety/liliUnderstand and participate in TPM initiatives./liliMust be adaptable to working in dangerous situations (vaults, scaffolding), heavy equipment, and in all climates/liliUnderstand hydraulic valve configuration, operation, and components/liliUnderstand pneumatic valve configuration, operation, and component/liliWeld, braze, solder and cut metal/liliTransport and safely store oxygen and acetylene cylinders/liliUse block and tackle, chain hoists, slings, levelers, come-alongs, jacks, and winches to lift or move equipment/liliInspect heavy lifting hardware and cranes, and help perform heavy lifting jobs/liliUnderstand basic components of blueprints including scales, symbols and dimensions/li/ulpQualification and Skill Requirements:/pulliMust be in a 2-year Associate Degree program in a related field and doesnt have the 3-4 year experience./liliTrained in LOTO, Electrical / Mechanical Safe Work Practices, Ladder Safety, CPR, Respiratory protection, Incipient stage fire response, Confined space entry, Fall protection, Enclosed spaces entry, and Aerial lifts./liliMust operate/be trained in the use of Power Industrial Trucks (PIT)./liliBasic PC skills/liliCommunication and time-management skills/liliDeveloping customer focus skills/li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliSome heavy lifting required to replace motors, pumps, extruder screws, etc., at low frequency. Equipment is provided to move / manipulate heavy components/liliOccasionally squat, crawl, reach above shoulders, kneel and balance/liliRequires repetitive action such as simple staring, grasping, firm grasping, and fine manipulating.
