What You'll Do

• Provide quality emergency care to a diverse patient population, including newborns to geriatrics
• Manage approximately 85-95 patient visits per day
• Assess and prioritize patient care based on severity, including MS, respiratory, cardiac, trauma, and mental health cases
• Perform IV starts, continuous patient monitoring, and bedside procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members such as charge nurses, phlebotomy, respiratory therapists, and hospitalists
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR
• Support the unit with a charge nurse as needed
• Maintain professional accountability for patient safety and STAR protocols

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
• 2+ years of recent ER or acute care RN experience
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, CPI or MOAB
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Strong multitasking, observational, and patient assessment skills
• Comfort with IV starts, continuous monitoring, and managing multiple systems
