Pay & Benefits

• Hourly Pay Rate: $50.25 per hour

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality care to diverse patient populations in the ER, including patients with respiratory distress, stroke, cardiac issues, trauma, and behavioral health conditions.
• Manage an average of 85-95 patient visits per day, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Document patient care in Meditech Expanse EMR; utilize IV pumps and medication dispensing systems.
• Perform IV starts, continuous patient monitoring, and quick assessments to identify patient severity.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary support teams, including charge nurses, RTs, hospitalists, and phlebotomy staff.
• Adhere to protocols, pass an EKG competency exam prior to arrival, and maintain professional standards.
• Follow unit policies on scrub colors, badges, and appropriate attire.
• Work in a traveler-friendly environment with dedicated support staff available around the clock.

What You Need
Required:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or ability to obtain one prior to start
• 2+ years of recent ER experience in an acute care setting
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS certifications
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Strong assessment, multitasking, and patient monitoring skills

Preferred:

• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
