Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a variety of ultrasound examinations, encompassing abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and more specialized imaging services.
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety while clearly explaining the procedures to alleviate any concerns.
- Work in tandem with radiologists and referring physicians to generate high-quality diagnostic outcomes.
- Ensure the proper maintenance of imaging equipment, addressing any malfunctions immediately.
- Diligently document procedures and maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record system.
- Stay abreast of advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and incorporate best practices into your work.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a closely related discipline.
- Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is highly preferred.
- Current certification via the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or a comparable body.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred but not mandated.
- Proven technical competence in sonography and patient orientation for optimal scanning.
- Exceptional communication abilities paired with strong interpersonal skills.
