**Exciting Opportunity for Medical/Surgical Registered Nurses (Night Shifts)** **Job Description:** - **Position**: Registered Nurse, Medical/Surgical Specialty - **Unit**: 2 South - Med/Surg / Telemetry Unit - **Shift**: 3x12 Hour Nights (19:00 - 07:00) - **Years of Experience**: 2 years required - **Travel Experience**: Preferred - **Charting System**: Epic (Experience required) - **Certifications**: - BLS - NIHSS (preferred) - **Patient Ratios**: - Days: 1:6 - Nights: 1:6 - Weekends: 1:6 - **Patient Age Groups**: Adults - **Daily Census**: Approximately 19 patients - **Room Capacity**: 19 (18 private rooms, 1 semi-private room) - **Key Responsibilities**: - Monitor and manage telemetry patients - Perform interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Provide wound care and utilize Wound Vac - Execute medication administration (including Heparin, Insulin, PCA) - Manage IV therapy, including phlebotomy and central line care - **Skills**: - Colostomy/ileostomy management - Pre/Post Hemodialysis management - Respiratory support including nasal cannula and oxygen administration - Work in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and more - **Orientation Hours**: 16 hours - **Floating Requirement**: Yes (must float as required) - **Weekend Shift Requirement**: Half of scheduled shifts **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol)**: At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
