Quantity: 13 / 26 Weeks

Shift/Workdays: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A

Weekend: Rotating

Call Requirements: No

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Special Skills/Experience required:

2 Years + ***All travelers are required to float, while on the interview please inform traveler of the Methodist Floating Policy***

Documentation system: Meditech

Hiring profile Requested Skill Set:

Must have:

· Hemodynamic monitoring- swans, art lines

· Ventilator management

· Strong critical thinking skills

· 2 years or more ICU experience

· ACLS

· BLS

Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed:

· IABP exposure

· CRRT exposure

· Meditech charting/ order entry – Preferred

Specialty/Unit Certifications Required:

(RN) ACTIVE TX RN License – NO TEMP LICENSE ACCEPTED

Procedures performed on unit:

· Post CABG

· Post VAD

· Post Cath with various cardiac support devices- IABP, Impella, ecmo

Dress Code:

Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. Scrub Color o RN: Navy-scrub top and pant, Navy or white scrub jacket

Nail Policy – Clean and Healthy

Hair - hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed

Tattoos – Body art should be covered whenever possible. Body art that is not feasible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually

Piercings – Visible piercings other than ears, is prohibited
