Job Summary A well-established CPA firm in Maitland, FL is seeking a professional, personable Receptionist to join a stable and close-knit administrative team. This Receptionist position plays an important role in keeping the office running smoothly, especially during the busy tax season, and offers long-term potential for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Greet clients and visitors professionally while maintaining a welcoming reception area. Answer and direct incoming calls using strong phone etiquette and active listening skills. Schedule appointments using a traditional appointment book and help manage front-office traffic. Log, organize, file, and send client documents and paperwork accurately. Perform data entry and general administrative support tasks for the office team. Maintain composure and provide solutions-focused service when assisting clients with questions or concerns. Compensation and Benefits Pay Rate: $18 to $20 per hour, based on experience. Job Type: Temp-to-Perm. Work Arrangement: 100% onsite. Location: Maitland, FL 32751. Regular Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch. Tax Season Schedule, January through May: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and rotating Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM approximately every 2 to 3 weeks. Significant overtime is expected during tax season. Candidates must be available to work the full tax-season schedule from January through May and may not take vacation during this period. Benefits upon permanent hire include 3 weeks of vacation after one year, medical insurance, Aflac, direct deposit, and long-term opportunity. Required Qualifications and Skills Manage front-desk reception, client greeting, and call routing in a professional CPA office. Coordinate appointment scheduling, paperwork intake, filing, and document distribution. Support a busy tax-season workflow while balancing phones, visitors, and administrative tasks. 2 to 3 or more years of receptionist, front-desk, or administrative support experience preferred. Outlook experience required. Word and Excel experience preferred. Strong professional phone etiquette and excellent communication skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized during high-volume periods. Personable, pleasant, and professional demeanor with strong customer service skills. Ability to remain calm, composed, and solutions-oriented when working with frustrated or difficult clients. Reliable and able to commit to the required January through May tax-season schedule with no vacation planned. Comfortable learning new office software, including ProSeries and Revver. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a CPA firm, accounting office, tax office, financial services environment, or other professional services setting. Familiarity with handling confidential client documents and sensitive information. Prior experience supporting high-volume seasonal office operations. ProSeries or Revver experience is helpful but not required.
