We aim to make a positive impact and give back to the communities that have supported us over the years.Join us at Carl Buddig and Company, where tradition meets innovation, and where our passion for quality meat products is matched by our commitment to our people and communities.Position Summary:The Sanitation labor employee will ensure the facility and plant production equipment is clean to meet food safety, customer quality, and worker safety requirements.Responsibilities:Comply with food safety and quality assurance standards (GMP, HACCP, FSI, SQF, etc.)Maintain plant cleanliness to prepare plant to pass USDA/SQF and other sanitation auditsSanitizing all surfaces nightly post clean for production runsInterior infrastructure cleaning of production and non-production areas.At times may also be required to clean office areas, hallways, locker rooms, and break rooms which includes cleaning/taking out trash.Clean outside grounds as needed, specifically walkways into the plant.Follow all Safety Guidelines and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); assists with identification and reporting of safety issues and areas and equipment requiring non-routine attentionSafety use required chemicals as indicated in the work instructions.Clean in a timely and efficient manner.Clean framework of machines, overhead rafters and pipe work, deep clean in specified areas, tear down and set up equipment and complete other assigned tasks as required on master sanitation schedule (MSS).Work to prevent product contamination and adulteration, following good manufacturing practices (GMP) and Food Safety.Following proper procedures to prevent equipment damage and to assure the equipment is cleaned properly.May operate equipment to maintain clean floors throughout the building and production areas removing dirt, and other debris.Verify effectiveness of cleaning.Participating in Pre-Operation inspections of the equipment after the cleaning.Attend training as required.Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area throughout the facility and common areas.Performs other duties as assigned including housekeeping and/or janitorial tasks including trash/waste removal, facility grounds keeping activities, etc.Knowledge & Experience:H.S.
