Job Description Lead single-plaintiff, class action, collective action, and PAGA matters through all phases of litigation Develop litigation strategy with relationship partners and take ownership of execution Direct discovery and take and defend depositions Work closely with expert witnesses on sophisticated employment matters Draft and argue dispositive and other significant motions Appear in court and represent clients in trial and arbitration proceedings Lead settlement negotiations and advocate for clients during mediations Prepare complex matters for trial and arbitration Advise employer clients on litigation strategy, employment issues, and risk Build trusted client relationships while independently managing significant matters Qualifications JD from an accredited law school Active California Bar membership in good standing 6+ years of California labor and employment litigation experience Ability to independently manage significant litigation matters Experience handling complex class action and PAGA matters Experience with class certification, dispositive motions, expert discovery, and trial preparation Experience handling single-plaintiff FEHA-related claims Excellent legal writing, analytical, advocacy, and interpersonal skills Sound judgment, initiative, and a collaborative approach Employer-side employment litigation experience preferred Why You Will Love Working Here You will have the opportunity to do sophisticated, high-impact work while enjoying the collaboration and accessibility of a close-knit legal team.
