The Driver provides relevant hotel information, transports guests via shuttle, and coordinates with other departments to satisfy guest requests.Essential Functions:Welcomes guests to the HotelAssists all arriving guests with luggage - coordinates the storage of luggageMaintains the cleanliness of luggage storage and bell closet areas at all timesAssist with the cleaning of hotel's bell carts on daily basisMaintains the cleanliness and organization of bell stand supplies and materialsProvides parking information to guestsOpens Hotel entrance door for guestsHandles guest inquiries professionally and with the utmost courtesy and accuracyProvides guests with Hotel and surrounding area information and travel directionsDrive hotel guests to and from the airport and other assigned trips, obeying all traffic rules and regulations constantly throughout shift to ensure a safe, accident-free trip/ transfers.Assist guests with storing and retrieving their luggage from Hotel ShuttleOpen Shuttle doors to assist guests on and off the Hotel Shuttle.Respond to guest questions, issues and problems regarding transportation, hotel services and local events, points of interest and activities.Maintain the Hotel Shuttle; gas, oil, cleanliness; filling in daily Shuttle reports and reporting any malfunctions on a daily basis.Follows and obeys traffic rules & regulationsSummons taxis for outbound guests and provides information regarding other transportation optionsBecomes familiar with guest names and acknowledges guests by nameMaintains the cleanliness of Hotel front entrance area, immediately picking up any trash or debris, contacting Housekeeping for major cleaning tasksProvide detailed information about hotel facilities and operating hours.Is alert to guests who appear to be intoxicated and intend to drive a vehicle - notifies Security department immediately for assistanceAssists Security in emergency situations when requestedEnsures that deliveries of Hotel supplies and large cargo are made at the loading dock, NOT through the front doorEstablishes a good working relationship with all Hotel departmentsAssist with Group deliveries when askedOther duties as assignedNotifies appropriate individuals fully and completely of all problems and unusual matters of significanceIs polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management, employeesAttends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessionsPromotes and applies teamwork skills at all timesExecutes emergency standards in accordance with hotel standardsComplies with safety regulations policies and proceduresComplies with hotel and department standards, policies, and rulesRemains current with hotel information and changesMaintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work areaAssist bell staff and doorperson when needed.Qualifications:Excellent communication and guest relations skillsExcellent knowledge of local areaMust be able to lift 75 pounds and push a cart weighing up to 150 poundsPosition requires continual bending, lifting, stooping, and pushingAble to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidaysAbility to drive all speed shifts of vehicle, van, limousines, shuttles and automobileAbility to drive under extreme road conditions such as rain & snowExcellent driving records as verified by the Motor vehicle reportMust have a CDL license with Passenger Endorsement (P)Must maintain clean driving recordThe wage for this position is $21.47.Visit this site to view benefits this role may be eligible for based on classification:Loews Hotels BenefitsLoews Hotels & Co is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, creed, religion, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, sex or gender (including pregnancy, childbirth and pregnancy-related conditions), gender identity or expression (including transgender status), sexual orientation, marital status, military service and veteran status, physical or mental disability, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws and ordinances. #J-18808-Ljbffr
