Solutions Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Solutions Engineer for a leading Managed Services and Professional Services organization. This individual will own the delivery of customer technology projects from kickoff through completion, serving as the primary technical resource throughout the implementation lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who has personally led infrastructure, cloud, networking, and Microsoft-focused migrations rather than simply participating on a project team. This role partners closely with Solution Architects and Project Managers to successfully execute customer projects while maintaining high standards for quality, budget, and client satisfaction.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Lead customer implementation projects from planning through completion

Deliver cloud, infrastructure, networking, and Microsoft technology migrations

Coordinate with Project Managers, Solution Architects, clients, and internal teams

Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure successful project outcomes

Maintain project ownership, documentation, quality standards, and customer satisfaction

PR: 30 to 35 / HR

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience in Systems, Infrastructure, Cloud, or Network Engineering preferably in an MSP environment

Proven experience independently leading technical migrations and implementations from start to finish

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, networking, and infrastructure technologies

Experience serving as the primary technical resource on customer-facing projects

Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and project ownership skills MSP, Professional Services, Consulting, or Project Engineering background

Experience leading M365, Azure, server, application, Teams Phone, or network migrations

Experience with firewall deployments, switch refreshes, and infrastructure modernization initiatives

Experience mentoring junior engineers and identifying automation opportunities

Must obtain or currently possess one of the following certifications within 180 days:

o AZ-305

o CCNP

o AWS Solutions Architect Professional

o VCP

o Azure Solutions Architect

o Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert

o FCSS in Network Security

o Network Security Essential for Cloud-Managed Fireboxes

o Equivalent demonstrated experience
