Pharmacy Technician

Join our team as a Pharmacy Technician, where you will play an integral role in supporting pharmacists and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy. This role involves assisting with the preparation of prescriptions, managing inventory, and providing exemplary customer service.

• Assist with prescription preparation, medication packaging, and order fulfillment under pharmacist supervision.
• Enter prescription and patient information accurately into pharmacy systems.
• Support inventory management, including stocking, cycle counts, and monitoring medication expiration dates.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records while protecting confidential information.
• Assist with prescription pick-up, patient inquiries, and general customer service needs.
• Follow pharmacy procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.

• Proficiency in pharmacy operations and knowledge of pharmacy systems.
• Pharmacy technician certification (CPhT).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Effective communication skills for handling patient inquiries.
• Ability to adhere to regulatory requirements and quality standards.

• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program approved by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
• Registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Technician after approximately 6 months of employment.
• Preferred experience in compounding, especially sterile compounding.
• High school diploma or equivalent education.

The pharmacy technician will work in a compounding (fulfillment) space rather than a retail setting, with shifts available from 7am to 3pm or 4pm to 12am. The work environment emphasizes maintaining a clean and organized space, with a focus on compliance and safety standards. Dress code aligns with standard pharmacy and safety regulations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, OH.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
