Senior Executive Assistant

Role Description

Boulevard is looking for a high-judgment, highly organized individual to support our Chief Financial Officer and provide scoped leverage across Finance senior leadership. This role is responsible for protecting and sequencing the CFO's time, improving meeting readiness and follow-through, coordinating Board, investor, and financing logistics, and ensuring CFO-related Finance leadership and planning moments are well prepared from a logistics and information-flow standpoint.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who can operate with business context, discretion, proactive communication, and excellent follow-through. The role goes beyond traditional administrative support through calendar strategy, executive briefing, stakeholder coordination, priority triage, meeting hygiene, and structured follow-through.

The CFO is the primary supported executive. The GM, Fintech; VP, Finance + Strategy; and VP, Data Analytics receive lighter-weight, scoped support focused on priority meeting coordination, limited calendar support, occasional travel and expense support, and coverage during high-volume or business-critical periods.

What you'll do here:

  • CFO Calendar Strategy, Prioritization & Executive Leverage - 35%
    • Own the CFO's complex and dynamic calendar, ensuring time is aligned to company priorities, Board and investor needs, Finance leadership needs, external relationships, and critical decision points.
    • Treat executive time as a strategic portfolio: sequence focus time, prep windows, decision forums, external stakeholder meetings, and leadership moments intentionally.
    • Use deep context on the CFO's priorities to make strong recommendations about calendar tradeoffs.
    • Proactively manage conflicts by bringing clear options and recommendations.
    • Prepare CFO ahead of key meetings, investor touchpoints, and decision forums.
    • Maintain strong meeting hygiene and readiness.
    • Create and maintain a reliable system for priority communication triage across CFO-related stakeholders.
  • Board, Investor & Financing Logistics Coordination - 25%
    • Serve as a trusted coordination point for Board, investor, banking, and financing-related logistics.
    • Coordinate quarterly Board meeting logistics in partnership with various teams.
    • Support fundraising and investor update workstreams.
    • Map multi-city or virtual meeting schedules for the CFO and CEO.
    • Ensure the CFO is prepared for meetings with the right context and logistics.
    • Organize logistics for Board meetings and investor presentations.
    • Protect confidentiality and security across all materials.
  • Finance Leadership Support & Planning-Cycle Logistics - 15%
    • Support CFO-related Finance planning moments from a logistics standpoint.
    • Coordinate schedules, attendee alignment, and meeting logistics.
    • Support CFO leverage across spend, approval, procurement, and contract workflows.
    • Proactively surface timing, ownership, materials, or decision-readiness gaps.
    • Provide scoped secondary support to senior leadership.
  • Meeting Readiness, Information Flow & Follow-Through - 15%
    • Turn CFO-related meetings into higher-leverage forums.
    • Capture and track action items, owners, deadlines, and follow-ups.
    • Maintain lightweight trackers and templates.
    • Synthesize high-volume inputs into actionable signals for the CFO.
    • Use async tools to reduce unnecessary meetings.
    • Identify recurring support-level friction points and bring recommendations.
  • Travel, Expenses, Offsites & Coverage - 10%
    • Coordinate CFO domestic and international travel with attention to detail.
    • Support expense reporting and ensure compliance with policy.
    • Provide occasional travel and expense support for senior leadership.
    • Own or support logistics for Finance leadership offsites and events.
    • Collaborate on planning and logistics of exec offsites and sessions.
    • Manage Finance org departmental event and morale budgets.
  • Confidentiality & Judgment - Always
    • Handle sensitive information with discretion and excellent judgment.
    • Operate as a trusted extension of the CFO.
    • Know when to move independently, escalate, or slow down.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of executive support, including 2-3+ years supporting a CFO or senior Finance/Operations executive.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume, high-stakes executive calendars.
  • Strong business judgment and ability to prioritize executive time.
  • Working familiarity with growth-stage SaaS operating concepts and metrics.
  • Experience supporting high-stakes external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong coordination and process management skills.
  • High bar for professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • High proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and modern collaboration tools.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience supporting a CFO or Finance leadership team at a growth-stage SaaS company.
  • Exposure to Board processes, investor relations, and fundraising.
  • Experience coordinating planning cycles and executive operating meetings.
  • Comfort partnering with various teams across the organization.
  • Experience contributing to executive support coverage models.
  • Proven ability to harness Ai to create more effective workflows.
